REFLECTION FOR DAY TWOHelo everyone ! welcome back .this is my reflection for the second day . For today's lecture we haven been intruduced the internet search facilities.We are introduced to use google research and google scholar research tool to complete our research . This is also my first time been introduced to use this method to do my research. First we selected all the key words and keywords variations , then we are taught to type this words into the research tool bar. For example (impact or effect)and (increase )and (fast food) and (public health) , that's for my topic.
I was impressed by the results shown because it only took 0.25 seconds to find the relevant websites. The websites are from all over the world and we can also use the local informations only.
For the discussion forum I found it is a very interesting tool for us to commucate with people from all over the world . We can share of thoughts and opinions on a specific topic. Hence people get a better understand on the issue that we have discussed. For me I have been partipated in one of the discussion forum called TOPIX .I have posted a comment under the topic "Macdonal's sued over french fry ingredients. I post a comment on it because I think the contents for Macdonal meal is very unhealth and can cause disease based on my research. I felt quite excited when people response to my comment.The online forum helped me with my research because I have a better understand on what the public felt about fastfood.
The reason for citation is because it can acknowlege the source and also avoid plagiarism .It is essential for research work . I found citation can also help us to recongnize the source.
